The Oceania Marina combines the personal atmosphere of a medium-sized cruise ship with an exceptionally varied culinary offering. Launched in 2011, the ship can accommodate around 1,250 guestsand, with a length of around 239 metres, is large enough to accommodate an extensive range of restaurants, wellness facilities and entertainment, whilst remaining considerably more manageable than large resort ships.
The Marina places particular emphasis on its dining options. The speciality restaurants include the French-inspired Jacques, the Italian Toscana, the Asian Red Ginger and the classic steakhouse Polo Grill. A varied selection of international cuisine is served in the Grand Dining Room. There is also the Terrace Café, Waves Grill and Aquamar Kitchen. In the evening, Waves Grill transforms into an open-air pizzeria. Baristas and other smaller outlets round off the dining options.
A special feature of the Marina is the Culinary Centre. In the professionally equipped cookery school, guests can cook for themselves under expert guidance and discover different cuisines and cooking techniques. This makes the Marina one of those ships where cuisine plays a central role not only at mealtimes but also as an active holiday experience. Creative guests will also find courses and workshops at the Artist Loft.
Accommodation ranges from inside and outside cabins, through Veranda staterooms, to concierge-level cabins, as well as spacious penthouse, Oceania, Vista and Owners Suites. The 124 Penthouse Suites were completely refurbished back in 2024. As part of a further comprehensive modernisation programme, the remaining cabins and various public areas of the ship are also being refurbished.
The Aquamar Spa + Vitality Centre offers a range of wellness and fitness facilities for relaxation. The outdoor decks feature a swimming pool, hot tubs and spacious sunbathing areas. The library offers a quiet retreat, whilst lounges such as Horizons and Martinis provide a variety of places to relax and enjoy entertainment throughout the day and into the evening.
Life on board is generally peaceful and focused on enjoyment. Rather than major leisure attractions, the emphasis is on dining, service, wellness, cultural activities and the destinations visited.
Conclusion: Ideal for connoisseurs, couples and discerning cruise guests who appreciate a wide culinary selection, personalised service and an elegant, relaxed travel experience on a ship of manageable size.
